"A Song for Trees and Rain"

The text in this painting reads -
Be still my heart, these great trees are prayers.  (Words by Rabindranath Tagore)
Then . . .
The earth is alive.  Planetary Spirit life.  All of life is one organism.
The chain of beings in larger, bigger, more encompassing.  A greater wholeness.

Painting Notes
I painted this during one of the great fires, aware of the loss of small forest birds unable to withstand the incinerating conditions.  We need great trees for forest canopy and for small birds such as the Robin species to nest and shelter in.

Nest of the tiny Eastern Yellow Robin.  I painted this ten times bigger, to give it importance.
